Why God created angels?

In the beginning there was God. At some time in the past God desired to share the beauty and perfection of the universe. He created an innumerable number of angels. Flying throughout the heavens in song and praise each angel had a different look, personality and abilities as well as a free will to discern and apply God’s word. Love and praise abounded from one angel to another as they served God and each other always in a state of happiness and contentment. God divided angels into positions with different responsibilities and duties: powers, principalities, seraphim, cherubim, thrones, and dominions. God selected a few angels as archangels. Flying in and out of the throne room, each received instructions from God how to lead a myriad of angels. Walking through an entry over stones on fire, archangels did God’s will in the temple on the Mountain of God. Magnificent, sparkling stones covered each of their robes. As the most dazzling creature of light to come from the hand of God Lucifer glowed in radiant beauty, with a resonating melodious voice, clothing of iridescent light studded with priceless jewels in an array of colors and wisdom beyond mortal comprehension. God appointed Lucifer, the bright and shining one, to the exalted position of honor guard to the throne, the highest rank.

Ezekiel 28:12-15
This is what the sovereign Lord says;
“You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the garden of god; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold;
On the day you were created they were prepared.
You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.
You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.”
