What did God need to do first before the Biblical Flood could be successful?

For the flood to be successful God needed to have at least two things happen. First, flooding couldn’t tip the ark on its side killing its human and animal inhabitants. Second, the flood needed to cover all the earth and be destructive enough so that no humans or Nephilim outside the ark could survive. If the flood was too gradual then people could build and survive on boats or floating material assuming they took enough food and water. Third, those in the ark needed to remember and pass down that this was the work of God and why He had done it.

Volcanic eruptions and subterranean waters would spew up as the Flood began. This could damage or flip the ark on its side while on land. Floodwaters needed to rise at a rate only to lift and float the ark. Once ocean bound God needed to keep the ark away from destructive tidal waves or spiraling currents taking the ark undersea.

The life of Noah before the flood

Noah was seen as a special child a few years after birth. Others saw that learned quicker that others. When observing people and nature, he saw them in a way others could not. While others around him rose up against his grandfather Methuselah’s orders, he supported the pious king.

Those around Noah noticed a strange thing. Before Noah’s birth the earth had been afflicted with famines. These famines ceased soon after Noah was born. Others believed it was because of him. An elect angel also told Noah of medicines and herbs to cure diseases the Nephilim had created through their numerous sins.

Genesis 5:29

"He named him Noah and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.”

Noah married when he was 498 years old, walked to land of Elda and settled. Learning of the upcoming Flood, by an angel sent by God, he didn’t desire children as he assumed they would be killed. Noah and his wife had their first son when Noah was 500 years of age.

God said of Noah, “You alone are righteous before me.” In his generation he was the only remaining human totally faithful in each area of life and righteous in all things. All others had fled God. When Noah was 600 years of age an angel delivered detailed information how to prepare for the flood. God allowed him to bring his wife, three sons and their wives.
