The Watchers, Nephilim and giants before Noah’s Flood

Having gained permission from God, Azazel and Shemhazai monitored human events while orbiting the Earth. They understood the consequences by displeasing God.

During the fifth generation after Adam Shemhazai asked Azazel, “What would it feel like to be human?” After a long pause he added, “And love as they do.”

“I have wondered that. But consider if Lucifer wouldn’t have led us in rebellion would God have needed to create those humans?”

“Look at her. Her skin is soft. Like waves on the sea her hair curls down to her waist. She moves with the smoothness of a cloud,” Shemhazai said.

“Why didn’t God give us women in the third Heaven?” Azazel asked.

“It is not fair. Let’s go down a little closer,” Azazel added.

The two Watchers looked for villages that may welcome them and weak enough to be influenced. They gathered like-minded ones.

Envious of the humans God created, two hundred fallen angels flew down to Earth landing at the top of Mount Armon, east of the Garden of Eden. Descending a gently sloped meadow they desired to arrive at the chosen village before sunset.

“Something’s different about you. Your glow and wings are gone,” one Watcher commented to another.

“I feel different too. Do you?” he replied.

Transcendental qualities each Watchers possessed in the Third heaven disappeared.

Between streets of stucco homes and roofs of straw they proceeded down a moist dirt street. Villagers turned and stared. Others rose from stools of rock.

“Have you ever seen anyone that tall with arms so wide?” one lady asked another.

“Who are they,” she asked.

“There so many,” another commented.

Raising his left arm Azazel stopped.

“Greetings men. We have come to join and help you with your work.”

A lean and thin villager approached Azazel extending his arm.

“My name is Severt. Welcome to Ardis.”

“We have been brought down from the sky to help you with your needs,” Azazel said. Invited for the evening meal villagers seemed amazed with strange knowledge about the moon and nearby planets. The Watchers spread out in the community of hundreds each staying in separate homes. The next day, while men worked in the field, the Watchers became acquainted with those who remained helping in chores and repairing houses.

“The’re so beautiful,” Samyaza said to Azazel. “And so graceful.”

Among smiling lips female faces glowed as Watchers told unique knowledge from the heavens. Unable to restrain their passion, Azazel mated with a women when alone with her. Still handsome giants after Gods removal of their glowing, sublunary bodies, their lust abounded in intimate relationships made over the next few days. Females mated often with any of the two hundred fallen angels called Watchers as the men worked long hours in the field.

During that time Azazel assembled part of the Canaanite women in the village and taught them how to make ear and nose jewelry, bracelets, perfumes and ornaments for sensual allurements to allure men. Other Watchers showed how to design with silks and wear fine clothing. Watchers added chains and enchantments, art and magic and taught them secrets of the cosmetic trade with dyes. Samyaza taught sorcery, incantations and the dividing of roots. Women learned how to make and use body paint, makeup, magic from beautiful stones and crystals, and the benefits of medicinal herbs. The Watcher Barkayal taught humans lessons from the stars, Akibeel taught signs, Tamiel taught astronomy, and Asaradel taught lessons from the moon’s motion.

After a long, hard day in the field an Ardis man returned to the village. On entering Josper’s home he found a string of river clam shells wrapped around his wife’s neck centered with a glistening stone. With hands sliding up and down on her swaying hip she wore a bluish-purple embroidered robe edged in yellowish-gold. Where was her bland crème colored robe? Why is she not doing needed chores for their home, especially with all this extra help? Expecting to share about how her and their children’s day went, she read about a story about star clusters and shared a strange formula written on a tablet. His two older daughters entered the room lavishly dressed in detailed embroidered maroon tinted robes weighed down by jewelry. One emitted the smell of incense and the other perfume.

Josper, full of anger, threw a nearby wooden chair against the rock wall. Upon learning his wife had slept with Azazel he hurried down the street where a handful of Watchers talked. Josper gathered and told other men what he had learned. Together they demanded Azazel leave the village at once. Azazel stood and smiled. Josper’s wife ran down the street and placed her arms around Azazel’s upper legs being almost four feet taller. The other Watchers smiled. Being three feet taller with a chest as tough as wood Josper was no match for a physical confrontation. The difference is similar to a middle school football player taking on a player in the National Football League. Weapons had yet to be known or developed. With his head bent Josper walked back to his house, gathered some belongings and left the village.  Not far down the road his friend Luma caught up and joined him. With the same predicament, they plotted a strategy. Aware that unwed women lived in a neighboring village to the north they walked throughout the night.

Attracted to these handsome fallen angels, women conceived and created the giants of legends in their offspring. Watchers begat sons and daughters called Naphidim or Nephilim. Taller, larger and stronger than normal humans, these giants caused fear and terror wherever they went.

The Watchers needed to encourage a number of men and boys to remain in the community. Their offspring required lots of food as they grew large quickly. One ancient book tells that all the giants living on earth at that time needed one thousand camels, one thousand horses and one thousand cows each day to live. Village men became charmed and addicted to the magic of sorcery Watchers taught each late afternoon. They taught about plants to use for medicines. To enhance wild parties with ecstatic dancing in the evening, the use of hallucinogens. As people learned the names and powers of each Watcher and the highest fallen angels in the first and second heavens idol worship flourished. Statues honoring the powers of Satan and the highest fallen angels filled Canaan cities.

For the knowledge and powers the Watchers brought to the village they demanded and directed the human men and boys to raise more cattle, sheep, goats and grains to satisfy their huge appetite. As the children of these giant half angel/human Nephilim grew they also required much more meat than any village normally raised. Overworked from long hours with little rest, men plotted a rebellion against the Watchers when returning to the village. Unskilled in warfare they went down in defeat becoming the first slaves on Earth.

All the human workers not in rebellion in the village and Nephilim could not raise enough meat. To solve this they needed to hunt game in the wild. For a short time this worked, but not for long. Neighboring villagers became upset as the strange Nephilim encroached on their hunting grounds killing wild animals or stealing from houses.

The next day, after working in the fields, the Watchers taught the Nephilim and agreeing human men how to make swords, knives, shields, breastplates and mirrors. Competent in the art of war they attack the nearest village taking all sources of meat. Their hybrid offspring wreaked havoc to the village homes while plundering objects of value they liked. Those not killed were taken captive. Fearful news of their violence and sinful actions spread to other villages from those fortunate to flee.

Each unlike the other, Nephilim afflicted, oppressed and battled humans throughout the valley of Canaan. After seizing a handful of villages and cities leading Watchers and Nephilim formed a plan. Kill all humans on earth, occupy it and rule over it themselves. Then Satan and fallen angels could choose to return to the third Heaven and challenge God. Each now are aware they are condemned by God to be sent eventually to the Lake of Fire. They had nothing to lose. As their offspring grew in number they turned against all men causing slaughter and destruction wherever they went. Fortunate humans were chosen as slaves or mates. Some Nephilim intimately injured animal and sea life as well as drank their blood as their sensual desires and immoral actions became the norm. In worship, the Nephilim giants tried to appease the fallen angel gods by sacrificing their children. As every evil imagination and desire grew rampant in Canaan and parts of the land of Seth the earth overflowed with extreme depravity while spilling much blood.

But not all was easy as Nephilim dominated the land of Canaan and then the land of Seth. God angry with what is occurring on earth caused what Satan and the fallen angels could not stop. Nephilim began to slew members of the weaker third generation of giants called Eljo. The remaining Eljo began to slew those humans that were full of evil as God protected those still righteous.

Mutations and disease weakened and disfigured each proceeding generation as the Nephilim multiplied. An increasing amount of overt mental disturbances and psychopathy added to their sinful ways. Genetic defects due to this abnormal, prohibited relationship created hideous bodies in some and new diseases in others. Plants and fruits became covered with spots or leaves devoured by insects and rotted away in the field or orchard.

“Our gods can cure this,” the Watchers told others as diseases and famines increased. Their gods only distracted other followers. Few got better, many got worst.

Thirsty for continually conflict they turned against their own kind attacking each other when humans couldn’t be found. Attacks from lions and wolves increased. Animals began to eat each other and attack humans and Nephilim. Violence filled all parts of the continent. God sent another warning to the Watchers and Nephilim by allowing flooding up to the graves of those that died near the coast. Many of the people lived in coastal areas like in today’s world.
